“Parents who regularly drive children for sports or social clubs will have to be vetted or face fines of up to £5,000 under new rules” leads a report on the BBC site.
Whilst you may think this does not involve you, it goes on to say “…anyone taking part in activities involving “frequent” or “intensive” contact with children or vulnerable adults three times in a month, every month, or once overnight, must register”.

Well that was fun, Upgrading WordPress that is, cleaning out some unsuitable comments, took a little longer!
Telephone Support
Feb 22
Having sat (so far!) more than 1/2 an hour on the phone waiting for ‘technical support’. It got me wondering as to the attitude of any company towards its support services.
In the future, before selecting a company or service, I really must try calling their support lines, and time their responces. A few pence cheaper, but no support is not a good deal!
Note the same company can answer a sales enquiry in less than 15 seconds!
Slavanka Trust

Samsung Support

I had to pass them over to our client, so I do know the final outcome yet as they went home!

If you’re unwilling to move to one of the alternatives, and really don’t like Vista, the least you can do is be aware of what’s in store.
David DeJean offers a rundown on Microsoft’s timeline for Windows XP, why the company does things that way, and what you can do about it.”

I love it when someone come out with a nice simple idea that wrecks the complicated ones, and this is a doozie!
Scientists invented dark matter, and a load of rules to go with it to explain why supernovae at the edge of the universe seemed to be moving faster than those nearer to the centre…
